Objective Of Tamil Nadu Vanavil Mandram Scheme

Under the Tamil Nadu Vanavil Mandram Scheme 2025, the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu visited government school classrooms where students actively participated in science experiments guided by their teachers. During the visit, he interacted with students and appreciated their enthusiasm for science and innovation. To ensure smooth implementation, specialized training has been provided to teachers across the state who volunteered to be a part of the program. These teachers are encouraged to share their teaching methodologies and contribute feedback to improve the ongoing execution of the scheme.

The main objective of the Vanavil Mandram initiative is to make STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) education accessible to all students — especially those from underserved backgrounds. Many students in rural and low-resource areas often miss out on practical scientific learning due to limited infrastructure and access. This scheme is designed to eliminate such gaps. To support the initiative, 710 STEM facilitators have been appointed across Tamil Nadu. These facilitators will operate as mobile science and mathematics demonstrators, travelling to various government schools and conducting hands-on experiments for students. This mobile lab system ensures that students, even in remote areas, get the opportunity to experience and engage in scientific learning.
